Customer Rating: Summary: fact or fiction Comment: i have read this book only to find it repeating a lot of what most people already know. ok so it has some extra facts or shall i say questionable facts, for what the country endured on this black day in american history of modern day i find that 428 pages does not in any way earn the right to be called a report more of a "we are expected to make a report so here it is" in all honesty not completly rubbish but to call it the full report i found it to be more of a summary, more than a detalied report worth a read but dont expect this book to be one of those you cant put down.
Customer Rating: Summary: LIES LIES LIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Comment: Sorry to burst your bubble everyone... [except the well-informed]
I wrote this for the comic book version of this ridiculous report
It's strange that on the American site (amazon.com) there is only ONE realistic review - those who buy from there go and sort it out please.
John Anderson wrote a review on amazon.com which says it all, so I will duplicate it here
"This book is simply to designed to misinform stupid people about 9/11.
9/11 was an "inside job" that murdered 2700 people.
This [book] is a crime." [my parenthesis]
Look, this (the 'official story' of the controlled demolition of the twin towers) is literally the biggest lie in recorded history - because there weren't so many people alive when the previous lies were told.
If they get away with this then they will be capable of anything - One World Government for example, which has been in the works for hundreds of years. But don't believe me, find out for yourself. just look at the real status of the European Uunion, the soon-to-be American Union. if you are reading this and you don't think this is true, then the chance that it IS is too big to ignore - think about it. Look at history. There's no reason why those who control the money system would ever tell us the truth.

The information is all here for you - ignore the paranoia, look at the factual history which is not told openly. And then teach it to others.
There is no conspiracy, no universal agenda, and yes, the world is filled with beauty and magic, most of which we cannot explain.
BUT those who control the MONEY can if they want do whatever they want - and they do. At least please take a look at the process in which this happens.
At least do your homework before you think that everything you have been told in school, in the media (without verifying it yourself) is real.
At least you will know why it happens when it does. A lot of it happens all the time without any of us knowing. All we don't know is how it will ultimately effect us in the long-run because we are all in it together - we are all in control of our collective destiny no-one is universally accountable.
Good luck - it's easier to stay in the Matrix - it's funny because that film is portrayed as fiction. It's figuratively entirely accurate.
Customer Rating: Summary: Bordering on fiction Comment: This "report" is a disgrace. Nay, an outrage. How dare this comission release such a half-baked excuse for a report. For shame.
Do not expect to gain any accurate knowlege of the atrocities that were committed on 9-11 from this compilation of hearsay.
Some examples:
- WTC building no. 7 is not even mentioned. Yes, you read correctly: IT IS NOT EVEN MENTIONED.
- Operation Vigilant Guardian. Again: It is not even mentioned.
- According to this commission, finding out who bankrolled the attacks is "of little practical importance".
I could go on like this all night, but I won't. Read David Ray Griffin's "The 9/11 Commission Report: Ommissions and distortions" and you will begin to understand.
That said, I would consider this "report" well worth reading. It is going to be considered a classic example of state progaganda in the future.
Customer Rating: Summary: If ever there was a MUST READ, this is it... Comment: The attacks on the United States now collectively termed the 9/11 attacks was the most devastating attack by foreign nationals on American states since the War of 1812, with far greater loss of life than then. In many ways, it was a Pearl-Harbour event, in that the history of the United States was changed in ways that make pre-9/11 and post 9/11 common terminology. In the aftermath of the attacks came many things, and developments must continue; this particular book is one of the most significant outcomes. Within a month, there were calls for an independent bipartisan group to look into the matters. Led by Republican Thomas Kean and Democrat Lee Hamilton (former Congressman from Indiana, the state where I live), the Commission as a whole presents this report as a unified document, without dissent and without addition. That makes it rare in the annals of political writing. The Report itself contains many things: A preface, thirteen chapters of historical narrative, situational analysis, and recommendations for further action, notes, staff list -- 585 pages in all (there is an executive summary available also, but not incorporated in the body of the text). The historical narrative looks at previous Al-Qaeda terrorist activity, at home and abroad, as well as actions by the United States designed to counter this (embassy security, bombing in the Sudan, etc.). While many were aware of embassy bombings and the previous World Trade Centre attack in 1993, probably few people are aware of other foiled attempts -- Ramzi Yousef's plot (out of Manila) to blow up airliners flying over the Pacific. The panel interviewed both the current President and the former President. They actually do address the Lewinsky affair in the text, but only briefly. They conclude that there was no 'wag-the-dog' syndrome going on with regard to the timing of Clinton's actions, but that the distraction of this affair did nothing to promote good government. The Commission addresses the issues of communication and cross-agency cooperation (still at a poor stage), politics and security failures at every level, and recommendations for future action. The question becomes -- does the White House, Congress, the military and the civilian agencies involved in security have what it takes to implement changes? The Commission's report is presented as a unanimous document; Democrats might not want to hear that the relatively-liberal Lee Hamilton is in favour of the general tenets of the Patriot Act, whereas Republicans might not like the governmental control aspects that relatively-conservative Thomas Kean supports. Terrorism was a minor issue pre-9/11; neither the Clinton nor Bush administrations held it as a high priority. It is destined to remain one for the foreseeable future. No one imagined the capabilities of bin Ladin and al Qaeda as being what they were; this has changed now, too, but the Commission asks, are we reacting (how many terrorists are actually going to use box-cutters to hijack planes again?) or are we anticipating properly? The Commission pointed to failed diplomatic efforts, bureaucratic mismanagement, problems within the intelligence establishment, lack of military options available, problems with immigration and border control, and inadequate homeland defense structures as all contributory to the problem. The Commission are to be praised that this was more of an analysis than a blame-game exercise; the general tone overall is pro-active rather than reactive, problem-solving rather than attempting to fix past accountability that, more likely than not, can be evenly shared. Already, the Bush White House, the Kerry campaign and leaders of Congress have responded to the report, and more is likely in the coming days and weeks. This is an important document for all citizens of the United States -- it should be read, studied, and inwardly digested so that peopel will be aware of what is happening, or, as the situation warrants, what is not happening. The broad phrase, 'Unity of Effort' is used in many headings and contexts to describe what the Commission envisons. At one point, they write, 'Unity of purpose and unity of effort are the way we will defeat this enemy.'
Customer Rating: Summary: Full of fiction and half-truths... Comment: This Report, while worth reading should not be considered in isolation as the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, as some people would like us to.There is a large and growing body of evidence supported by an even larger and faster growing group of ordinary and extra-ordinary Americans that points with crystal clarity towards a radically different view of the attacks of 9/11, who caused them and why. Dissecting the official report, and the government's own version of events, leads to more questions than answers, and uncovers a considerable catalogue of half truths, ommissions and even blatant outright fiction. Readers of the Commission's official Report who consider themselves to be of fair and balanced minds will naturally want to make themselves aware of 'the other side of the story'. It is not unpatriotic to consider these things carefully. It is patriotic. I am not talking about anything pro-Islamist, or anti-Bush. Far from it. Merely that Americans should consider the questions raised by the fact that the official version of events, and the official report, are radically different in many different places to the actual recorded history of 9/11 and the events that day. Readers should at least make themselves aware of the eminant and respected theologian David Ray Griffin's 2 books, also to be found on Amazon, 'The New Pearl Harbor: Disturbing Questions About the Bush Administration and 9/11' (4.5 out of 5 over 136 reviews) and 'The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions And Distortions'.
