Comment: There are a lot of collections like this out on the market, but none offer the breadth and depth of The Media in Britain. The three sections of the book really cover all the important aspects of the subject area and provide an invaluable resource for students in media and cultural studies as well as for established academics. The first section, with its broad overviews of the major media sub-areas, and the third section, with numerous examples of specific analyses, are especially useful. This is a truly fine and enormously accessible collection of essays and articles and must-have for the library of anyone with a serious interest in the topic of media in modern Britain.
