Customer Rating: Summary: Easy Read for Students Comment: I bought this book on a recommendation from a lecturer and found it to be very useful. At the time I was studying a HND and had no previous knowledge of law, but this book is easy to read and the case studies help you to understand even more.
Customer Rating: Summary: Scottish Business Law Comment: As a Director of a small Scottish Company I find this book invaluable as a reference. The book is extremely readable for anybody with no legal background (like myself) and the case studies are a great help in reinforcing the text. Well done to Moira and Sally for distilling such a massive and complex subject into such a readable, and useful, book.
Customer Rating: Summary: Understandable and interestingly written Comment: This book is an excellent introduction into Scottish Buisness Law for students. It was written by two lecturers as a concise and understandable alternative to the lengthy law books which were previously all that was available. It is easily read as an interesting book on its own or equally as good to "dip into" on particular legal topics. It contains over 100 intersting case studies on the seven main categories it covers, Law of Contract, Sale of Goods, Consumer Protection, Law of Agency, Buisness Orginisations, Law of Delict and Employment Law. As well as being an ideal foundation book for new students it could prove an invaluable friend to small buisness owners to guide them in the right legal direction.
